About Deb Pick | Nervous System Health Practitioner, Coach & Speaker
Supporting lasting change through the mind, body and nervous system
I help people create lasting change by working with the mind, body and nervous system together.
For 30 years, I have worked in health, movement, rehabilitation, education and personal development, supporting people to better understand themselves and move forward with greater confidence, clarity and wellbeing.
Today, my work sits at the intersection of nervous system health, subconscious change, physical wellbeing and human potential.
Whether someone arrives seeking support for anxiety, stress, chronic pain, confidence, performance, rehabilitation, life transitions or personal growth, my approach remains the same:
Work with the person, not just the symptom.
I believe meaningful change happens when we understand how the mind, body and nervous system influence one another. Rather than forcing change, I focus on creating the conditions that allow change to emerge naturally and sustainably.
My journey
My professional journey began in science.
I hold a Master of Chemistry from Imperial College London and later completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Biology and Anatomy. My fascination with how the human body functions led me into movement, rehabilitation, bodywork, education and eventually the study of the subconscious mind and nervous system.
Over the years I have worked as a lecturer, personal trainer, Pilates instructor, bodywork practitioner, therapist and coach, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences.
What became increasingly clear was that physical symptoms, emotional wellbeing, confidence, performance and healing were rarely separate issues.
The nervous system sits at the centre of them all.
This understanding has shaped the work I do today.
Why I do this work
Many of the people I work with are capable, intelligent and highly motivated.
They have often read the books, attended courses, tried strategies and genuinely want things to improve.
Yet they still find themselves repeating patterns they cannot fully explain.
Over the years I became fascinated by this gap between knowing and doing.
Why can one person understand exactly what needs to change, yet still feel stuck?
Why does confidence disappear under pressure?
Why can pain persist long after healing should have occurred?
Why do some experiences leave lasting imprints on the body and nervous system?
These questions have shaped much of my professional journey and continue to guide my study today.
I believe that when we understand the relationship between the mind, body and nervous system, we create the opportunity for profound and sustainable change.
How I work
I am not a practitioner who follows a fixed formula.
Every person arrives with a different history, nervous system, body, goals and life experience.

A final thought
I don't believe people need fixing.
More often, they need the right environment, the right support and a deeper understanding of themselves.
When the nervous system feels safe, the body often softens.
When the body softens, clarity emerges.
And from that place, meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.
